New Resource on SB 260 Released

The Fair Sentencing for Youth Coalition and Human Rights Watch released a new guide for prisoners and their families about youthful offender parole hearings for prisoners convicted as adults for juvenile offenses.  SB 260 gives juveniles convicted as adults an opportunity for a parole hearing after 15, 20, or 25 years of serving their sentence, depending upon the length of time of the original sentence.  The law goes into effect on January 1, 2014.
