PJDC’s Transfer Litigation Intensive Forum Has Been Postponed.

The PJDC Governing Board and the Transfer Litigation Intensive Forum Planning Committee have decided to postpone the livestreamed Forum that had been scheduled for Friday, March 20. While last week we were thrilled to find a way to livestream the event, the court closures and issues surfacing about detained youth in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic prompted us to rethink even that. We have come to realize that many of us cannot truly focus on this right now. Some of our speakers are involved in emergency work in their courts, and several have children who will be home and in need of their attention.

PJDC will reschedule the Forum for a more optimum time. It is too good a training not to have us all engaged and enjoying it. We will meet in about a month to assess the situation and determine how and when to reschedule. We will send out updates as soon as they are available.

For those who have registered, you are welcome to seek a refund now, or you apply your registration fee to the rescheduled event. The decision is yours. Please contact Eileen Manning-Villar if you want a refund – eileen@pjdc.org.

In the meantime, we will send out selected materials that were prepared for the Forum via our listservs. Additional transfer materials are already available for download in the members-only section of the website.

We are very sorry not to be with you on Friday, March 20, but we look forward to hearing how you like the materials we will be sending out, as well as what will work best for you when we do reschedule the Forum. Thank you for your patience. May all go well for you and your families.
