PJDC 20th Annual Roundtable: Challenging Confinement of Youth and Former Youth – NOW FULL

Saturday, September 9th | 8:30 am – 4:30 pm | UC Davis Law School

We are excited to be back for our 20th Year!

As Secure Youth Treatment Facilities are replacing the now-shuttered DJJ, the call to decarcerate youth is louder than ever. Join us for a day of learning, legal updates and networking as we consider ways to challenge the confinement of our youth (or former youth) clients.

We will start off the morning with a presentation on utilizing disability law in your juvenile practice and another on working together to push back from the probation narrative. The balance of the day will consist of a series of three breakout sessions during which attendees can attend workshops along one of three tracks: (1) The Social Worker’s Role, (2) Transfer Hearings, or (3) General Juvenile Court Practice.

PJDC trainings are open to those currently working in defense.

$140 for PJDC members (Supporting and Sustaining Members)

$175 for nonmembers
